Privacy Policy

Learniverse is made for young children, so this policy is written to be read quickly and to be exact. The app has no account and no registration. It never asks for, and never stores, a real name, an email address, a phone number, a physical address, a photograph or a date of birth. There is nowhere in the app for a child to type anything at all.

What the app does not do

• No advertising. There is no advertising SDK in the app. No banners, no interstitials, no rewarded video, and no Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is requested or used. You will never see an App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.
• No third-party analytics. No analytics or attribution SDK is present.
• No tracking. Nothing collected by this app is linked with data from other apps or websites, shared with a data broker, or used for advertising or advertising measurement.
• No purchases. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no in-app currency.
• No messaging. There is no chat, no user-generated content and no way for a child to contact anyone or be contacted.
• No web browsing. The app does not contain a browser.

What the app does store

Learniverse works completely offline. Everything below is stored on the device first — the local copy is the source of truth, and the cloud is only a mirror so that progress survives reinstalling the app.

• An anonymous identifier. The app signs in to Firebase Authentication anonymously. This produces an opaque identifier that is attached to no person: no email, no name, no phone number, nothing typed by a child. It exists only so that saved progress can be found again.
• Game progress. Levels completed, stars earned, accuracy and best times per level, stored against that anonymous identifier. Apple classifies this as Product Interaction data, and we declare it as linked to the identifier above and used solely for app functionality.
• Aggregate counters. For each level, the app increments two numbers: how many boards were started and how many were finished. These carry no identifier, no timestamp and no ordering — they count boards, not people — and the database rules reject any write that tries to attach anything identifying to one. They tell us which levels are too hard; they cannot tell us anything about a particular child.
• Settings on the device. Sound, haptics, chosen card languages, audience and game style are stored locally in the app's own preferences and are never transmitted.

The leaderboard

The leaderboard shows anonymous best times. The name displayed beside a time is generated from the anonymous identifier out of a fixed word list — it is never typed by a child and it is never chosen. It is recomputed each time the board is read rather than stored, so no text chosen by any device is ever written into a publicly readable place.

Children's privacy

Learniverse is rated 4+ and is intended for young children, used with a parent or guardian nearby. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, because the app does not collect personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes all local progress from the device. Because the anonymous identifier is not linked to any person, we cannot look a record up by name — but if you would like the cloud copy of a device's progress removed, email us from the address below and we will explain the short step needed to identify the record and delete it.

Service providers

The only third-party service the app contacts is Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore), used for anonymous sign-in and for mirroring progress as described above. You can read Firebase's privacy documentation for how that service handles data.

Changes

If what the app collects ever changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated. We will not start collecting something new and quietly leave this page as it was.
